Restaurants

Somanathapura has no notable restaurants. There are a few small eateries, bakeries and tea stalls around the monument that serve refreshment beverages, packaged snacks but keep in mind that the options may be limited. Some natural and seasonal refreshments like tender coconut water and seasonal fruits may be up for sale.

Apart from this, Bannur (~8km from Somanathapura) on Bengaluru-Mysuru highway might have few more options but again the menu may be limited.

Further north, the Bengaluru-Mysuru national highway has abundant restaurant options and of course Mysuru city itself is just 30km from Somanathapura.

Souvenir Shops

In Somanathapura, there exists a souvenir cum brass antique items shop. Do not forget to check out their collections.

Toilets

There are free toilets within the temple compound for tourists. Usually found to be clean. There is a toilet few meters outside  the main gate too.

Accessibility

The temple is not wheel-chair friendly but conscious and incremental efforts are being made by Archaeological Survey of India at all its monuments to make monuments accessible. However, there are no more than 8 steps to climb so people with limited mobility may still be able to enjoy the site overcoming the inconveniences.
