No amount of words can do justice to the marvel carved in stone that is Keshava Temple, Somanathapura. Hence, we will take you through a visual tour of the Temple Exteriors through following photographs.
- The Statue in the grounds outside the main temple. It has been placed here for decoration and photo-op purpose.
- The big tree in the outer grounds as viewed from inside the temple. It is aged and has been witness to many events that happened at this temple over time.
- The front view of the temple as viewed from the main entrance. Keshava Temple in Somanathapura is a Trikuta temple – that is, it contains three inner sanctums of worship.
- The rear view of the temple. Two of the three towers are prominently visible.
- The corner view of the temple as viewed from the portico around the temple.
- The main door of the temple. This being a Vishnu Temple, we can see his guards Jaya and Vijaya on either side of the main door. Unfortunately, the status are damaged.
- The entire temple stands on a star shaped platform that is adorned by elephants at the corners.
