Somanathapura (also spelt Somnathpur) is home to Keshava Temple or Chennakeshava Temple, most popularly known as Somanathapura Temple. It is dedicated to Lord Keshava or Vishnu.
Somanathapura is a small village in Mysuru District, Tirumakudalu Narsipura (T.Narsipura) Taluka of Karnataka State. The village gets it’s name after the Hoysala Army Chief Somanatha who was responsible for the Temple.
The village is a must-visit tourist attraction in the popular tourist circuit of Mysuru – Srirangapattana – Talakadu.
